"Exceptionally well located. One of the most convenient aspects is that it has two entrances (on 42nd Street and another from inside Grand Central Terminal). Being able to access the hotel from both sides makes it incredibly practical, especially in New York where movement and timing matter. The property itself is massive. They clearly have the capacity to manage a large volume of guests at the same time without it feeling chaotic. It’s colosal in scale, yet surprisingly organized. There’s an exhibition in the lobby featuring the large “heads” sculptures by Jaume Plensa, which added an interesting artistic element to the space. It gave personality to what is otherwise a very minimalistic and highly functional environment. The design is clean and purposeful, from the décor to the layout of the corridors and furniture placement. Nothing feels cluttered or overstimulating. I appreciate that sense of openness; it allows you to move freely and breathe, which is rare in Manhattan hotels. The suite was beautiful and very spacious. It had all the essentials, and for New York standards, both the size and the location felt generous compared to other places I’ve stayed in over the years."

"Obviously a fantastic location, it can't be beat. So much around. Nice hotel, nice staff throughout the day. Nice rooms, spacious for New York standards. Nice front door security. Pleasant staff checked me in for my hotel room. My only complaint is very particular but it made enough of an impression on me to reduce the overall rating by one star. I woke up around 3 in the morning dying of thirst and had not bought any water bottles throughout the day or in the hotels market that closes at 11pm. I looked online to see if the hotel had vending machines. No information. I called the front desk at this time to ask where in the hotel I could get water. The answer was a singular refillable water fountain in the penthouse gym. I asked if there was any water bottles anywhere. None. Whoever I spoke to on the front desk phone was kind of condescending and ready to hang up the phone, as if my question was a waste of his time. Now, the staff overall have been great, it was just that singular gentleman who I spoke to on the phone who made me feel my question was stupid for 3 in the morning. But when you are really thirsty, and need water, the only option is to go to the gym? Weird for a massive hotel in the heart of Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. Now it wasn't a hassle, I went to the gym and stood by the water fountain at 3 in the morning to quench my thirst, but I just thought it was a weird ONLY option. I've stayed in hotels all over the country and the world, and this is the only hotel I have had this issue. Water, at least, should be available in hotel rooms (even to be charged to the room), or given at the front desk as courtesy. Small complaint, but it made a big enough impression on me being that I thought my 3 am excursion was going to be short, and it turned to be a little bit more searching than intended. I would have also gone outside to a convenience store to purchase something but it was 4 degrees Farenheit, so I wasn't about to put my winter gear on. Overall, just a weird little complaint of mine, but hope the hotel reads this and maybe ammends this small thing, and provides at least some water bottles for their guests in some ways."

"what a great hotel! The rooms were clean and modern and for New York they were really big. while. yes, the Little market inside is extraordinarily expensive, it has to be expected based on location and convenience factor. check-in was a breeze and some of the best doorman I have ever witnessed in my life. they were pleasant and gracious and were willing to go out into the middle of the street to stop traffic so that we could pull our car out. it was kind of wild how experienced these guys are and they made it a very impressive experience."
