Highbridge Hotel

"Actually great hotel. Stood here as a staycation and truly enjoyed my time. Friendly staff. Friendly, respectful, and diverse guests. Comfortable quiet rooms with good temp control. Clean. Right near a great train station. Near a really nice park and playground. Local cuisine and supermarket a block away. Lots of restaurant options for delivery. Amazing small breakfast buffet… **Only issue was that I didn’t enjoy the rule that all the guests in your room must be together to have breakfast.** My daughter wakes up much earlier than I do, and couldn’t enjoy breakfast. Will definitely return, especially if there’s a change to this rule, as the main attractant for us to choose it over the other highly rated hotels further down, was the location and free breakfast. Still great place."

"This hotel is everything a hotel should be - great value, excellent location, friendly & helpful staff, quality beds that make you dream, temp controlled and a rooftop! I spent two nights there last week and each of those points of quality enabled me and my friend to plan and enjoy a remarkable vacation that was almost 2 years in planning. And the high water mark was being able to walk the few short blocks from hotel to Yankee Stadium to watch a great game on 8/23. My friend is a longtime New Yorker and shares these words. "Room was clean and comfortable bed. Gated parking at $30 a night, plus we could still access the car if needed. The breakfast in the morning was really good. The subway is only a 5 minute walk away. We returned late one evening and we had to access the hotel with the key card, which was a nice security feature. It's the Bronx the area is loud and vibrant but we never felt unsafe at any point. Only 20 min Subway ride to Manhattan. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay again."
